Raja Tara Singh II Pilania (reigned 1858–1870) was the ruler of Sutot and a member of the Pilania dynasty. He succeeded his father, Raja Dayaram Pilania, in 1858 and governed the estate until 1870. His reign coincided with a period of political transition in northern India during the latter half of the nineteenth century.
Early life
Raja Tara Singh II Pilania was born into the Pilania dynasty, a prominent Jat ruling family associated with Sutot. He was the son and heir of Raja Dayaram Pilania, under whose guidance he was educated in matters of administration, leadership, and the management of the estate.
Accession
Upon the death of Raja Dayaram Pilania in 1858, Tara Singh II ascended the throne of Sutot. His accession occurred during a significant period in Indian history following the Indian Rebellion of 1857, when political authority across northern India was undergoing reorganization under British rule.[1]

Raja Tara Singh II presided over the affairs of Sutot from 1858 to 1870. During his reign, he maintained the position and influence of the Pilania dynasty within the region.
