History
It is known for its strong presence of the Jat community, agricultural background, and cultural heritage. The majority population belongs to the Jat caste, with the dominant Tewatia gotra and Nohwar. Other Jat gotras in the village include Nohwar and Kuntal (few). The village has a strong tradition of military service, with a large number of youth and families serving in the Indian Army and other armed forces. Farming remains the main occupation, though many people are now also engaged in government jobs and private employment.
