It known for its significant religious site, the Tilaswa Mahadev Temple (Tilaswa Parshwanath Temple), a prominent Hindu pilgrimage spot dedicated to Lord Shiva, drawing many devotees, especially during Shivratri, and also has Jain connections, making it a culturally important place near Mandal Tehsil.

James Todd[1] has mentioned about Bijolia and nearby areas in his Personal Narrative February-1820 as under: At Telsooah, two miles farther south of Bijolia, are four mundirs a coond, and a torun, or [p.682]: triumphal arch, but no inscription.
