Supriya Kaler

Supriya Kaler is a Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officer of the 2019 batch. She is known for her academic excellence and her commitment to administrative duties, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Early Life and Education

Supriya Kaler who was born in Shyodanpura village of Churu district in Rajasthan, said that her father Sheeshram and mother Vijayalakshmi played the most important role in her progress. Supriya Kaler completed her early education in Churu. She secured 11^th rank in the entire state of Rajasthan in the Class 10^th Board Examination, reflecting her academic merit from an early stage. Later, she completed her Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee. After completing her engineering education, Supriya Kaler was selected for the Rajasthan Administrative Service. She belongs to the 2019 batch of RAS officers and has served the state government in various administrative positions.

Role During COVID-19 Pandemic

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Supriya Kaler served as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Buhana in Jhunjhunu district. While discharging her official responsibilities, she gave priority to public service even during her marriage ceremonies. Her decision to leave personal rituals midway to resume official duties received national media attention and was widely appreciated. She is the first RAS officer from her village.
