Ratanpura (रतनपुरा) village is in Sanchore tahsil in of Jalor district in Rajasthan.

Ratanpura is a small Village/hamlet in Jalore Tehsil in Jalore District of Rajasthan State, India. It comes under Ratanpura Panchayath. It belongs to Jodhpur Division . It is located 8 KM towards South from District head quarters Jalore. Ratanpura Pin code is 343001 and postal head office is Jalore. [1]
History
Ratanpura is mentioned in Sundha Inscription. Ratanpura was under a chief named Punapakakshadeva in the reign of Kumarapala Chaulukya. It must have been conquered from some one of his successors by the Chauhans.
Jain History
Ratanpur is famous for its Parshvanath Temple. An inscription of VE 1209 banning the slaughter of animals etc was noticed from this place. Renovation of Parshvanath Temple Was done in VE 1238, when its pillars were got constructed by Udharan's wife Utama and Dhaval's wife Santosh. According to an inscription of VE 1338, shreshthi Dungarsingh setup an icon in the temple. The following inscriptions of the temple record various donations given from time to time:
1. In VE 1333, when the place was under Chachigadeva, two shops were donated for managing Posh-Kalyani-Yatra.
2. In VE 1348 two shops were further donated by Sreshthis Mandalik Mahan and others for arranging Nechakas (flower garland) in the temple.
3. In VE 1343, Oswal Mahinal's wife Mahana Devi donated 20 Vishalpriya drammas for managing nechakas to Adinath Devakulika erected by the above family.
4. In VE 1346 30 drammas were donated, the interest of which was to utilize for the Kalyanik festivities.
