History

The Jats of Nawada Kalan migrated from Punjab during Baba Baghel Singh Dhaliwal's Sikh raids in Delhi and Rohilkhand region in late 1700's. This village belonged to the Manihar Muslims and Hindu Sunars before the migration of the Jats to this village. There are two Nawadas in Hapur District: one is Nawada Kalan, and the other is Nawada, also known as "Bada Nawada." The Bisla and Sarao Jats first migrated to the village of Dayalpur (Faridabad) and then came to Nawada Kalan. There are also many different communities living in this village: Nai, Dhune, Gadariya, Kumhaar, Brahmin, Dalit, Muslim Lohar and Baniya. All communities live peacefully in the village.
