Lieutenant Colonel Anil Duhan
As a company commander (then-Major) at Point 5156 in Batalik (early 2002), he expertly organized a 15‑man post which withstood relentless enemy artillery, RPGs, and small arms fire all day — sustaining 27 direct RPG hits — yet suffered no casualties.
That night, his unit repelled a Pakistani patrol, wiped them out, and forced a respectful recovery of enemy bodies during a flag meeting later that July.
After retiring (with over 22 years of service), he’s been active as a commentator, motivational speaker, corporate leader, and veteran advocate, notably speaking on issues like the “One Rank, One Pension” campaign .
Lt Col Duhoon exemplifies calm under fire, tactical innovation under pressure, and continued service off the battlefield.
