Khokhan
Khokhan (खोखन)/(खोखान)/Khokhina (खोखीना) [1]is gotra of Jats.[2] [3] This gotra originated from ancestral person who came from place Khotan (खोतान). [4]
Origin
- Khunkhunia (खुनखुनियाँ) gotra of Jats started after Khokhan, the people who came from Khotan, which later changed to Khokhar. [5]
- Khokhan (खोखन) - खोतान की ओर से आने वाले खोखान कहलाये. [6]
History
Makhan Singh (1600 AD) - Makhan Singh, the ancestor of Thenua jat rulers of Mursan and Hathras married with daughter of Khokhan gotra Jats, who were in occupation of areas around Raya.
