Gangani (गंगाणी) or Ghanghani (घंघाणी) is a village in Bhopalgarh tahsil of Jodhpur district in Rajasthan.

Ghanghani is situated on the banks of Luni River near Asarnada (आसरनाडा) railway station on Bikaner-Jodhpur line.
गांगाणी, जोधपुर रेलवे स्टेशन से 36 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर जोधपुर-भोपालगढ़ सड़क मार्ग पर स्थित है।

Jain History
Ghanghani and Ghanghanak are the two old Jain sites of Marwar. An Adinath icon discovered at Ghanghani has an inscription dating VE 937 (880 AD), which records that it was consecrated by Vachhaladeva, a pupil of Udyotan Suri. It is one of the important Jain icons of Rajasthan
Ghanghaniak or Ghanghana is another site of having Chauhan monuments. It has yielded several inscriptions. An inscription of VE 1241 (1184 AD) commemorates donation of half a dramma monthly from Mandapika of Mandor by Bhandari Gunadhar and others to bear expenses of Granthi (Varsha Granthi) celebration of Mahavir. Other inscription dating VE 1249 record certain donation to the Jain temples.
Ghanghani Inscription of Samprati Maurya
Ghanghani (घंघाणी) is a village in tahsil Bhopalgarh of Jodhpur district in Rajasthan.
Ghanghani is situated near Asarnada (आसरनाडा) railway station on Bikaner-Jodhpur line. There is an ancient Jaina Temple. According to Jaina poet Samayasundara the ancient sculptures bear Inscription of Samprati Maurya, Dasarath Maurya's son and granson of Ashoka Maurya. This indicates that he built a grand Padmaprabhu Jinalaya temple.[1]

Population of Gangani according to Census 2001 is 5027 including males 2597 and females 2430[2]

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[3] ने लेख किया है ...घंघाणी (मारवाड़, राज.) (AS, p.311): बीकानेर- जोधपुर रेल मार्ग पर आसरनाडा स्टेशन के निकट प्राचीन जैन तीर्थ है. जैन कवि समयसुंदर के अनुसार यहां की प्राचीन मूर्तियों पर मौर्य सम्राट अशोक के पौत्र संप्रति मौर्य (दशरथ मौर्य के पुत्र) के अभिलेख थे जिनसे ज्ञात होता है कि उसने इस स्थान पर पद्मप्रभु जिनालय नामक विशाल मंदिर बनवाया था.

गांगाणी परिचय
गांगाणी जोधपुर ज़िला, राजस्थान में स्थित जैन धर्म के अनुयायियों का प्रसिद्ध तीर्थ स्थल है। यहाँ जैनों का प्राचीन मंदिर है, जिसमें तीर्थंकर पार्श्वनाथ की प्रतिमा स्थापित है। गांगाणी, जोधपुर रेलवे स्टेशन से 36 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर जोधपुर-भोपालगढ़ सड़क मार्ग पर स्थित है। प्राचीन समय में गांगाणी एक विराट नगरी के रूप में प्रसिद्ध थी। विक्रम संवत 1662, ज्येष्ठ शुक्ल 12 के दिन यहाँ दुधेला तालाब के पास 'खोखर' नामक मन्दिर के एक तलघर से 65 प्रतिमाएँ निकाली गई थीं, जो सम्भंवत: आक्रमणकारियों के भय से भूमिगत कर दी गई थीं। विक्रम संवत की बाहरवीं शताब्दी मे भुरटों ने इस मन्दिर का जीर्णोद्धार करवाया था। यहाँ पर प्रतिवर्ष होली के बाद चैत्र मास में कृष्ण पक्ष की सप्तमी और पार्श्वनाथ के जन्म कल्याणक का मेला पौष दशमी को लगता है। यात्रियों की सुविधाओं के लिए यहाँ धर्मशालाएँ आदि हैं, जहाँ पानी, बिजली और भोजन आदि की समुचित व्यवस्था है।[5]
