Daedalus

Daedalus was a skillful architect and craftsman, seen as a symbol of wisdom, knowledge and power in Greek mythology. Daedalus is mentioned in List of Lycian place names. In Pliny's Natural History (7.198) he is credited with inventing carpentry, including tools like the axe, saw, glue, and more. Supposedly, he first invented masts and sails for ships for the navy of King Minos. In Boeotia there was a festival called Daedala.

There is a need for further research in Greek history to find the origin of Didel.

History

Evidence compiled by Nainsi on the clans of the Jats, their original homes, and migration therefrom to different places in Merta in Nagaur is of immense importance. It is one of the prominent immigrant clans that came to Merta.
