Bachhren

Bachhren (बछरेन) (Bachharen) is a large village in Wair tahsil in Bharatpur district in Rajasthan.

History

Saimara and Sejwar are considered brotherly Gotras and do not inter-marry.

Jain History

From Jogina (district Bharatpur) a standing Sarvtobhadra icon of Neminath belonging to the Gupta period and another icon of Parshwnath of 11th century AD (Bharatpur museum) have been salvaged. From Bachena and Bhusawar icons with inscriptions of Vikram Era 1077 and 1110 respectively have been noticed. ^[1]

With total 678 families residing, Bachhren village has the population of 3929 (of which 2075 are males while 1854 are females).^[2]
