Sisana (सिसाना)/(सिसाणा) is a large village in Karkhoda tehsil of Sonipat district in Haryana.
The village's name Sisana is also uttered as Susana (सुसाणा) by local population.

History
The village was first inhabited in 1221. The nearest villages are Khanda, Sehri, Bakheta, Farmana, Gorad, Humayupur, Kharkhauda, Matindu, and Silana. It is mainly inhabited by Dahiya Jats and Kaushik Brahmins. Sisana is now divided into two parts (panchayat): Sisana1 and Sisana2.
Most of the population in the village is Hindu. The village is surrounded by many temples, including Shivalya Mandir, Khatu Shyam Mandir, Narayan Ashram, and Dhikkan wala mandir.
The village is surrounded by ponds and fields. A Shiv Mandir is in the centre of the village, which also has a park and a pond nearby. A major source of water is a canal which is locally called Bidro/Badro.
The Sisana Inscription
The Sisana Inscription (associated with the Chauhans of Bedla in Udaipur, Rajasthan) is a key historical epigraph. It is most significant for documenting the Agnikula legend, which describes how the four major Rajput clans—Chauhan, Pratihara, Paramara, and Chalukya — were born from a sacrificial fire pit. Specifically, this inscription outlines the myth wherein sages perform a ritual on Mount Abu to summon divine warriors to protect the righteous. The Sisana inscription, alongside bardic texts like Nainsi ri Khyat, serves as vital literary evidence of the genealogies and mythological origins traditionally claimed by medieval Rajput clans.
