History
Malpura is known for its Dadabadi, built by the Kharataragachchha Sect of Shwetambar Jains in memory of 3rd Dada Gurudev Shri Jinkushalsurishwarji. Also known for its Forts, Malpura is popular visiting palace in Rajasthan.
मालपुरा
राजस्थान के टोंक जिले में स्थित मालदेव पंवार की नगरी के रूप में मालपुरा प्रसिद्ध है. [1]
किसीज़माने में यह नगर परकोटे के भीतर था, जिसके अवशेष एवं प्राचीन दरवाजे आज भी मौजूद हैं. अभी जहाँ थाना लग रहा है वह राजा मालदेव का निवास स्थान था. इसके चारों तरफ गहरी खाई थी जो हमेशा पानी से भरी रहती थी. झालरा तालाब के किनारे 600 वर्ष प्राचीन नीलकंठ महादेव का मंदिर है इसकी स्थापना लाम्बा ठिकाने के हरी सिंह ने की थी. मंदिर के सामने विशाल मैदान है. कहते हैं इसमें महाराणा प्रताप की सेना ने पड़ाव डाला था. Geography
Malpura is located at 26.28° N 75.38° E. It has an average elevation of 332 metres (1089 feet).
Demographics
As of 2001 India census, Malpura had a population of 27,242. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Malpura has an average literacy rate of 62%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 73%, and female literacy is 50%. In Malpura, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Shri Kalyan Ji Mandir
Shri Kalyan Ji Mandir is a sacred shrine situated at Diggi Village near Malpura of Tonk District. It is dedicated to Lord Anirudh. The temple is constructed in Pratihar style of architecture.
Visitors from far and near visit this temple on the full moon day. The annual fair conducted on Bhadrapada Shukla Ekadashi is celebrated with pomp and splendor by the devotees.
Malpura Railway Station is the nearest railhead.

Jain History
Malpura - [p.161]: Malpura is famous ancient site situated 90 kms away from Jaipur. There are two Shvetambar and a few Digambar Jain temples. Dadawadi of the place is also famous. Muni Suvrita Swami's massive temple was constructed in Vikram era 1672 by Malpura Sangha under the instructions of Bhanu Chandra and Siddhi Chandra. The inscription of the temple dated Vikram Era 1672 records that Bhanu Chandra and Siddhi Chandra were venerated by Akbar, who bestowed or the title of Upadhyaya upon Bhanu Chandra (Patisaha Shri Akbar-pradapit-Upadhyaya Pada-Dharaka) and some other title upon Siddhi Chandra. Originally this temple was dedicated to Chandraprabha. Its Sutradhara was Parasa. In Vikram era 1691 the Temple was renovated by some Shrimal Jain shreshthi and an icon of Muni Suvrita was installed as a Mulanayak. The inscription of Vikram era 1672 has the words Prasada Karita. Similarly the inscription of 1691 mentions Jin-Bhavan-Saha-Shri Muni Suvrita Bimbam-Karita. This all that the temple was renovated only
[p.162]: after 19 years. The earlier structure was damaged either due to a natural calamity or by religious intolerance.
The temple has got a beautiful Ranga Mandapa. Vijay Deva Suri of tappa-gachchha is referred to an inscription of Vikram era 1678. He also consecrated the icon of Veer Vijay Suri in Vikram era 1690. Six footprints in stone of Adinath, Chandraprabha, Shantinath, Neminath, Parshwnath and Mahavir were installed in Vikram era 1695 by Singhvi Rai-Singh etc. The Adinath temple is another important shrine. In in Vikram era 1672 an icon of Adinath was installed there by Shrimal Godidas's son Sahimall. Malpura also remained centre of Digambar Jains. In Vikram era 1710, when this place under the rule of Arjun Gaur a Dash-Lakshan-Yatra was prepared by Patani Khanu etc and consecrated by Narendra Kirti. Several Digambar MSS were also copied out here.
